Before & After: Leg Warmers

So it doesn’t quite feel like Fall yet here in Tennessee, but as I was cleaning out my closet this past weekend, I thought I’d start sorting through my fall sweaters anyway.  I pulled out a red cable knit and instantly noticed a HUGE hole in the underarm.  I knew I couldn’t fix it, so into the upcycle pile it went.

Being the blog-o-holic that I am, I thought I’d hit up UCreate (an awesome crafting blog I totally suggest you check out) to search for a fun upcycle idea… low and behold, I found this great tutorial for leg warmers.  I headed to my studio, pulled out my sweater, and got to stitchin’!  Here’s my before & after:

The Before: (sorry its a stock image… I didn’t think to take a pic – but mine looked exactly like that. Promise.)

and The After:

I do intend to embellish… but I think I’ll wait till Fall is in full swing!
